As part of its ‘GreenBricks’ project, Wienerberger has recently opened its modernised brick plant in Uttendorf, Austria. The factory now boasts the world’s largest industrial electric kiln and includes on-site green electricity generation to reduce overall energy consumption by a third and reducing emissions for brick production by up to an impressive 90%.
