Abstract
Strength characteristics have been determined for Swedish masonry based on CEN standards to meet Eurocode 6 requirements. Tests include compressive andflexural tests parallel and perpendicular to bed joints and shear tests parallel to bed joints and flexural tests parallel and perpendicular to bed joints. The elastic modulus has also been determined in compression tests. The units were solid and perforated clay, lightweight concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete and calcium silicate. The mortars were mainly in the strength classes M2.5 – M9.
