Abstract

This paper deals with the strength and modulus of elasticity of soil-cement block masonry, both dry and wet, the effect of the strength of five cement: mortar mixes using stack-bonded prisms and the effect of prism size on masonry strength. The stress-strain characteristics of soil-cement and the masonry are given. The results are compared with those for burnt brick masonry.
