This article portrays an evaluation of pathological manifestations (construction defects) in the Residential Leasing Program (PAR) of the Federal Savings Bank in the city of Belo Horizonte, constructed with structural masonry.
Five ventures were chosen for the research, taking into account the parameters of age, size and location. The survey was conducted through inspections, evaluation of available projects, and interviews with representatives of construction companies.
The information was compared and verified and, based on this analysis, solutions, using corrective and preventive actions, were proposed in order to improve the quality of existing and future buildings.
As expected, age was a factor which had great interference in the number of pathological manifestation occurrences. However, projection and execution errors are also responsible for the decrease in the life span of the project.
