Abstract

The background to revisions in compressive strength specifications for concrete block is examined. The revisions have removed apparent anomalies, improved material utilization and ensured closer conformity with the design Standard (CAN 3-S304). The implications and inter-relationships of the masonry Standards are reviewed.
