Abstract
An experimental programme was carried out to investigate the response of brick masonry under cyclic compressive loading. The tests on brick masonry of half brick thicknesses have been conducted for loading perpendicular and parallel to bed joint to establish stress strain envelope curve, common point curve and stability point curve. Analytical expressions have been proposed for these curves by least squares fit method. The variation of lateral strain with axial strain is also discussed.
