ABSTRACT
A 3D nonlinear finite element analysis has been utilised to simulate the flexural behaviour of masonry wallettes subjected to out-of-plane flexure under various precompressions. The material parameters necessary to model the flexural behaviour of masonry have been experimentally determined. The lateral failure load and load-displacement curves representing the flexural behaviour have been predicted and compared with the experimental response.
